    Chasseur de fontaine, 2019

    Stainless steel
    Variable dimensions

    Catherine Issert, Saint-Paul

Vladimir Skoda was born in 1942 in Prague. He lives and works in Paris. Both evident yet infinitely complex, the sphere lies at the heart of his research: simple and pure, for Vladimir Skoda it symbolises the perfect form. This sculpture is a counter-proposition to the classic fountain. The artist uses the traditional fountain, but diverts it as it rises. The water is dispersed by the presence of the sculpture. The artwork, made out of stainless steel is perforated with circular holes, lending it both a sense of lightness and visual density.
