Fabrice Samyn was born in 1981 in Brussels, where he lives and works.

The color of time presents twelve globes in handblown plain glass that are each fashioned to suggest a different color of the sky during a time span of twelve hours from dawn to dusk during one day. The progressive transformation of color illustrates the passage of time and suggests the gradual apparition of forms from the depths of obscurity, rendered possible by light and the interdependency of light and shadow.

Concentrating on metaphysical questions and recurrent themes such as time and light, idolatry and iconoclasm, the key to understanding Fabrice Samyn's work lies in the impossibility of representation.
