Max Hooper Schneider was born in 1982. He lives and works in Los Angeles. His work is the result of what could be qualified as recalcitrant experimentation. He deflects and hybridizes different fields of knowledge, producing an array of artworks ranging from living ecosystems to drawings on paper. With particular attention to the evolution of relations between philosophy and nature, his work defies all hegemonic systems of classification and refuses an anthropocentric conception of the world. In his works, organic and artificial elements are constantly combining and mutually contaminating one another, promoting a constantly evolving vision of nature.
