Artur Lescher was born in 1962 in São Paulo where he lives and works. For more than thirty years, Artur Lescher has developed a solid sculptural œuvre that explores the articulation between materials, thoughts and forms. The artist creates precise and uninterrupted dialogues between space, architecture and his choice of materials: fundamental elements such as metal, stone, wood, felt, brass, copper and salt. Lescher’s technique is close to an industrial process, enabling him to achieved extreme precision and rigour. His sculptural intention goes beyond form, leaving room for myth and imagination that are essential elements for the construction of his minimal landscape.
