    L’Arche, 2018

    Painted steel
    600 x 200 x 90 cm

    Waddington Custot, London

Pablo Reinoso was born in 1955 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He lives and works in Paris. This archway is part of the Beam Bench series, initiated in 2011, in which Pablo Reinoso continues his investigation of materials. By liberating the steel girder of its initial function, he creates favourable conditions for generating new possibilities. Steel takes liberties, stretching into volutes to form an arch, designed to echo the gateway of the Petit Palais and the curves of its architecture. The work acts as a frame over the entrance to the edifice and creates a seat available to all, a new point of observation between the two Palais.
