Don’t be frightened of turning the

Sunday 20th October - 4pm
Alessandro Sciarroni is an Italian
artist, active in the field of the
performing arts. His works, involving
professionals from different fields, are
featured in contemporary dance and
theater festivals, museums, as well as
less conventional spaces. Commencing
with the observation of the migratory
flows of different species that return
to spawn and die in their native
territory at the end of their life, the
artist began working on the concept
of « turning ». The English term is
interpreted literally and represented
on stage through the action of the body
rotating around its axis: the action
develops into a psychophysical and
emotional journey, similar to the way
in which « turning » also means to
change and to evolve.
Alessandro Sciarroni is an associate
artist at CENTQUATRE – Paris.
