The Musée d'Orsay and the Musée national Picasso-Paris are organising an exceptional event dedicated to the blue and pink periods of Pablo Picasso. It brings together masterpieces, some presented for the first time in France, and offers a renewed reading of the years 1900-1906, an essential period in the artist's career that has never before been treated as a whole by a French museum.

The presentation of this exhibition at the Musée d'Orsay shows the will to inscribe the young Picasso in his time. His various productions are thus put into context with the work of his contemporaries or predecessors, Spanish and French.
