Navid Nuur was born in 1976 in Teheran in Iran. He lives and works in The Hague in Netherlands.

His installation consists of an ordinary park bench with what appears to be an aluminium foil sandwich wrap left on it. On and around the “foil”, there are little crumbs of bread, giving the impression that someone left the wrapper behind after eating lunch on the bench. The breadcrumbs attract birds from the Tuileries garden. By means of a minimal artistic gesture, the interaction between the sculpture, the breadcrumbs, the birds and the spectator, confer an almost performative dimension on the work, underlining the relationships which exist between time, living beings, the transformation of matter and the ongoing performance...
