Suchan Kinoshita
Suchan Kinoshita was born in 1960 in Tokyo. She lives and works in Maastricht, Holland.
In 2004, Kinoshita created the first of her "Isofollies", an ensemble of plastic bundles composed of non-organic detritus, wrapped and mummified in taut plastic and arranged as a sculpture garden. They act as huge scoriae of time's refuse, the imprint of an instant encapsulating whatever was on hand. Produced for the Biennial of Sharja with detritus found on site, the most recent version of "Isofollies" is presented in the Cour Carrée of the Louvre Museum.
