Pierre Ardouvin

Born in 1955 in Crest, Pierre Ardouvin lives and works in Montreuil. Utopian dreams, fantasies and daily life inform his work. Oscillating between melancholy and humor, his poetic creations often reflect a stereotypical idea of happiness. Profound social criticism is not intended: his approach reveals forms as they are, but introduces slight incongruities. Evoking an essentially artificial world, Pierre Ardouvin's work reactivates our childhood memories and adult inhibitions.
