Mike Bouchet

Mike Bouchet was born in 1970 in Castro Valley, California, USA. He lives and works in Frankfurt, Germany. His interest lies in the schizophrenic links between the production and consumption of objects in today's globalized economy. Multiplying references to the icons of consumer society and employing marketing strategies, he develops an analysis of the economics of labour in his sculptures, paintings and installations. For FIAC 2009, Mike Bouchet's installation consists of a single diving board installed on the edge of one of the garden's pools.
