Stéphanie Saadé was born in Lebanon in 1983. She lives and works between Beirut and Paris.

Le Chemin du Retour is a nostalgic journey mirroring a route the artist regularly walked when she lived in Paris, leading from her former apartment to the Jardin des Tuileries. Here she has reconstructed it using stepping stones, which are generally used to help people cross impracticable or delicate areas of a garden. With stops and starts, this sentimental trajectory takes visitors on a contemplative journey along Le Chemin du Retour. Now a line or a sketch, there is no longer one specific starting point. It can be walked in either direction.
