    CASSETTE-DUET, 2017

    Saturday, October 21st - noon
    Duration: 45 minutes
Dancers: Aina Alegre and Guillaume Marie

Before investigating dance, David Wampach was originally involved in theatre. CASSETTE DUET is an adaptation of CASSETTE, a contemporary dance show created in 2011 that is inspired by the classical ballet The Nutcracker. He extracts from it everything that corresponds to its identity: the figure of the couple, the fantastical tale, the folk dances, and the romantic and exotic musical score, so as to confront these with ballroom dances and question the codes of the ballet through accentuation or reduction. For this piece, he has invited the dancers Aina Alegre and Guillaume Marie to perform. The public is invited to wander with them through the spaces of the Petit Palais and the Avenue Winston Churchill.

Address: Main entrance of the Petit Palais, 75008 Paris
