A project which began in 2012, DD Dorvillier’s A catalogue of steps is a conceptual reframing of all the choreographic content culled from videos of her work created in New York City from 1990 through 2004, transformed into a catalogue of over three hundred choreographic fragments, classified through an invented taxonomy. A catalogue of steps at the fair is a collection of fragments chosen with unique Parisian sites in mind: the reception rooms and garden of the Mona Bismarck American Center, and the Orangerie Museum’s rooms housing Monet’s Water Lillies Cycle. Thirteen flags, created with DD Dorvillier by the designer Olivier Vadrot, each represent a piece of A catalogue of steps. Through the looping repetition of the fragments at each site, and the differences between dancer’s bodies and places danced, a space of contemplation is created for the visitor.

With: Bryan Campbell, DD Dorvillier, Rémy Héritier et Myrto Katsiki

In collaboration with the Musée du Louvre and the Mona Bismarck American Center, and the Musée de l’Orangerie.
