Oscar Tuazon is an American artist, born in Seattle in 1975. He lives and works in Los Angeles.

This revolving door is the new version of a first door Oscar Tuazon made in 2014 on the Ludwig Museum’s rooftop in Cologne. This 2014 door, A Person, was a replica of the door that gives access to the Museum’s rooftop. Both doors were facing each other on the Museum rooftop, creating an echo.

A Person II, (2015), displayed in the Petit Palais during FIAC 2016 is a new replica of the Ludwig Museum’s functional door, taken away from its architectural environment so that it emancipates itself from its first function. Hence, it becomes sculptural, inviting the visitor to create a different kind of relationship with it.
