AIDES at the FIAC -International Modern & Contemporary Art Fair

The fight against Aids is 25 years old, 50 artists give their support to AIDES.
In 2009, AIDES, the HIV/Aids organisation is 25 years old. A 25-year fight against a still virulent epidemic for which so much has been done and yet so much remains to do.
On this exceptional occasion, more than 50 creators and internationally renowned artists, such as Sophie Calle, Xavier Veilhan, Jacques Villeglé, Jim Shaw, Fernando and Humberto Campana have gathered together to support us in this battle.
The works created and donated by these artists will be for sale at the prestigious end-of-year auctions in five of the most esteemed auction houses in the art world; Artcurial, Christie's, Millon - Cornette de Saint-Cyr, Pierre Bergé & Associés, and Sotheby's.
The whole collection will be presented in the Azzedine Alaïa gallery (18 rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris) and a catalogue will be produced for the occasion. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Monday the 19th of October and the works of art will be exhibited for the duration of the FIAC - the International Modern and Contemporary Art Fair.
We warmly thank the artists and collectors for their constant commitment to all those involved in the fight against Aids. Together we can make a difference!
